Eventually the system took it and was happy. I would advice not to give up to anyone having issues installing these drivers because your GPU should be able to run it. I did use the AMD Clean utility from within the driver folder to make all this happen as well but you can use other tools like DDU. I was surprise it worked because originally the GPU software doesn't see anything beyond 18.8.1 on my end. Keep in mind this is also a Vega Frontier Edition that is water-cooled and flashed to the Liquid Cool version of the card with a clock of 1700MHz as max over the 1600MHz on the air edition one.

Not sure why i never had issue just installing over the old. I never use DDU. Just run the driver in Windows. I had AMD driver 17.7 before this. I installed 17.7 over an nVidia driver, too, before that.

I have not used DDU in a while. Only when the driver gets eFFed pretty good. Now that it has Clean Uninstall/Install, i use them. They work pretty well.

I just replaced the HD 7770 in this puter im currently using with a GTX 1050 a few minutes ago. After install, downloaded the latest Geforce and installed it. Working fine so far. I do the same with Adrenalin using both express.

So I gota install older 17 pro driver then the gaming driver from there? Install the new adrenaline driver Manuelly or will it show up in the check for update area of the Radeon settings?

After using many different driver packs (basically everything from 17.12.1 to 18.Q4) I wasn't able to install it. I get 18.4.1, 18.7.1, 18.8.1 and 18.9.3 in gaming mode no matter what I do. I reinstalled windows twice during this period. I'm itching pretty hard for this new driver. Please help!

Odd here's what I did to get mine working on my Frontier card.

1.install latest pro drivers with switch option.
2.switched and installed the 18.9.3 from inside Radeon settings
3.then installed the latest adrenaline drivers Manuelly.
4.then checked settings to make sure they were there.

I just got it before I read this post! I'm pretty sure I installed 18.7.1 pro, switched to 18.7.1 gaming in settings, installed 18.12.3 driver only (did not work!), rolled back, installed 18.12.3 express and voila. I'm not sure if that's exactly how it went but it's worth a try.
