They are Marketing Geniuses and like the Relive idea, I feel like Intel has a harder time Reaching their Audiences and keeping them Entertained.

I'll post pics that software refuses to work. To many errors or just resets the values I set in it.

I never enable wattman at all anymore. That is the only way to keep it from messing the settings up.

There are settings in overdriventool that I do not understand and will not use it until I do understand them. With no documentation that means never.

I mean... it's not hard to find info on how to use it. Here's a pretty good walk through. It's related to mining but the process is identical.

Hmm. I've asked around these forums before and got crickets.

Has anyone experienced fan profile issues with the latest drivers in both Wattman and OverdriveNT?

The fans dont seem to curve between profiles. I.e. they'll switch between profiles like binary which makes for a horrible on/off style fan noises.

A normal fan would ramp up and down gently so there are minimal differences in sound.

I'm not sure how best to explain?

Just take a poo on his lawn, that'll sort it. Then say his slutty daughter did it. - ace8uk (2017)

Yes!

I was on very outdated drivers and just recently did a fresh install because of some new hardware and it was time.

The new drivers are VERY on/off with the fans. I never had a single issue with hearing the fans while the system was idling for any period of time until these drivers. Stock settings the fans shut off, then after 5 mins you can hear them spin up at what sounds like hard RPM targets, as in not a nice easy ramp, but a sudden increase to the next desired speed.

Doing the custom fan profile and zero fan is bugged and still have the aggressive ramping. very annoying!

Anyone have any good experience with the Auto functions?

I tried overclocking and it tested some obscene settings straight off the bat and crashed everything. Not bright

The undervolting function I haven't tested too much, but my card is a dud anyway. Can't hit boost clocks, not even close, and dropping the voltage even 50 mv causes instability
