As it should. It uses twice the power and is analogous to the 1060 3GB. I haven't checked prices, if it is the same price then it is certainly a better buy unless it is in a laptop or a walmart type pc that the owner just wants to jam a graphics card into. I started out doing stuff like that before I built my own
I undervolt my laptop 1050ti down to 700mv when my daughter has it I hope she doesn't figure that stuff out before she learns to keep the inlet vents uncovered. A 1050ti is no RX 570, it is a little thing.

The thing is, the 1050 Ti costs as much as a 570. Thats why you should watch the video obviously.

The driver also finally recognises my RX570 as an RX570 instead of it reporting it as an RX580. I believe that very minor issue started around 5-6 months ago.
Ah. That explains the driver update notification while it is the exact same version.

I suppose I should have. It didn't seem fair to compare a low end 1050ti to a midrange 570. I guess it was the "finewine" which doesn't apply here that riled me up.
Even OC'd like this: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/10287794 the 1050ti can't play W3 at [email protected] at any settings.

The 570 is a midrange card and I guess the 1050ti is just pretending to be. I do like it in my ordinary looking laptop for it's good performance/power ratio and my daughter covets it for her kid games, but in a desktop it would serve up nothing but disappointment. They shouldn't be in the same price bracket for desktop.

I reinstalled these drivers last night and found that they cure problems I had in certain games, but the fans will not run up to a useful speed, so the gpu runs hot. It's a Sapphire gpu so I use Trixx and the fan profile there no longer works. Is there any way to get the fans to run?

Well, obviously, update the Trixx. This happens everytime, because its 3rd party tool. I dont see the issue with this.
I also have an Sapphire Nitro 480, and frankly, the Trixx software is... crap. The Wattman is far better.

Wattman did not work for me in the past. What I input was irrelevant as it did what it wanted to do. Overdriventool was the same way. Every time I hit "apply" it reverted to default.

Afterburner and Trixx still work and that means a lot more to me than apps that do not work.

That said, today I enabled wattman and tried the fan controller and wonder of wonders, so far it is working!!!! Haven't dared to try anything else yet.

I use wattman to OC my memory and haven't had any issues, it sticks even after a restart and shutdown. You can even save your profile if needed. I do think Windows is messing with AMD drivers as of late and trying to install other things, for good measure i did install my chipset drivers to see if it solves some issues.

Maybe I should mess with wattman, but once burned twice shy. I updated Trixx from 605 to 606 and now the fan works.
