Didn't see this mention, Tesla didn't go with nVidia's GPUs since they are GPUs. They needed an AIP since dedicated AIPs can process more frames per second. I'm sure R&D cost to make their own AIP cost more than buying they already available nVidia's Jetson.

I'm pretty sure I've been saying this since the release of Volta and Turing. Let's not forget Vega 7nm was built for AI and the cards that failed ECC verification are being sold as Radeon VIIs.
