I haven't had a single problem yet, on a GTX1060. Clean Install. I also haven't crashed in Apex in days after limiting my fps to 100 + disabling hardware acceleration within discord.

If limiting framerate fixed crashes, your OC is probably not stable enough.

Well the feedback on NV's forum isn't exactly positive. Sort of goes this way, if you need the Apex Legends fix install it, otherwise stick to 417... or even older for GTX but that's fairly obvious since 400+ is for RTX not GTX and best driver for GTX used to be 385.60 or so.

Haha yes, I loved every driver release roulette when I had my R9 295X2.

What usual issues? I've never had issues with nVidia drivers ever.

Except for a couple for a couple of CTD issues a while back, I’ve had no problems with nv drivers. I update day-one and using GFE.

I don’t do multimonitor or multi gpu and I generally don’t play unoptimized and buggy games at launch so I’ve avoided issues involving those.

The last time I had majorly annoying driver issues was with ATi cards but I hear that AMD era Radeon are much better in the driver department these days.

I had one crash in Apex with this driver. Using a 2080.
The game froze and closed. I couldn't see any errors. I have an eventviewer report, which i most likely can't find now, since it was days ago.

Overall it seems as stable or more than 417. Atleast for me.

I haven't played any other games yet, but I think i will try witcher 3 and shadow of the tomb raider later.

My OC is definitely stable. It's been at the same OC since launch, Apex is was the only game that crashed in 2.5 years so no definitely not the OC.

What's this non-sense about 400+ drivers only being for RTX cards? Previous generations all the way back to the 600 series still benefit from game ready drivers.
