I checked some other SotTR benches with the new RT pacth, and ya its pretty bad. That said, its still pretty new to SotTR, and cards in general, so theres that hopefully it will mature.

I already made the decision to add a second 2080ti though, as I can hit 98 consistently, dont care to go 120hz for most games, as I will lose HDR . With the rumors, that seem pretty true, that we wont see another set of cards for 2-3 years, this is the only option.
see my issue is im on a 1080ti on sli, 2080ti as a single card for AAA for 4k/60 will put me in a hole for $1200+ change and will not net me 4k/60 in upcoming games as i know for sure i already know this.. Theres a bunch of games out there right now that it doesnt do 4k/60 with everything cranked up.
see i would need 2 2080tis which is $2500+ change
is not that serious im not doing it as my goal is only 4k/60 for now.. i had to sacrifice some settings in some games to achieve that on games that dont support sli like running custom resolutions like 3072 or 1800P that dont look "bleached" like 1440P want to hit natively 4k/60.

not interested on RT 4k+DLSS which to me is 1440P upsampled quality image, it is blurry and not a 4k image (NOT EVEN CLOSE) it looks ugly on a 4k HDTV 65" screen trust me...
Im not trading yet that. to me 1440p is peasant console resolution even XD
Well ya I went from 980tis in SLI so it was worth it to me.

I held out, becuase I was playing at 1440p, when 1080tis came out waiting for Swift 4k/144hz, to be out, and be stable. So finnaly got that, and jumped to 2080ti.

You do have an advantage over me though. Those 1080s are still worth a pretty penny. You could get 1500 or so of that back from selling the 1080tis. My 980tis are pretty worthless lol. The 200 each I could get for my 980tis, I'd rather keep them lol.

Yeah also you have to understand the monitor setup im using requires vsync, frametimes are a must because you will notice judder so 4k/60 including 1% are a must for the most pleasant experience. I cannot do nothing smaller than 50" now a days lol and it have to be 4k lol. So a single 2080 Ti aint cutting it. My samsung have freesync thru hdmi hoping nvidia enables it or somebody finds a way for it.. Sacrifices for screen size and IQ i do..

Well it was just a quick number throw, I am not sure, however on ebay they are going for about ~600, and as a WCer exclusively, if they were mine they would be blocked, which would add another 100 or so, so 650-700 on ebay.

You could sell them for that, eventually patience is a virtue and it depends what card you have too.

Voxels are nice but so far as the linked Unigine demo that was baking using Voxels in development not using Voxels for realtime rendering. If you want to bake why not path trace the whole thing and be done with it. Static graphics are not hard to do nice, you can bake it all, dynamic scenes are hard on computation as they can't really be prebaked unless you like fake stuff.

Nvidia cards do not have the hardware support for HDMI adaptive sync very likely. Or it will be only on new cards or new drivers after NV launches their gaming TVs with newer HDMI that enforces adaptive sync in it's specs, this HDMI is not on current NV cards. HDMI should just go away but it has gained too much popularity with A/V, TV etc. despite being worse than DP both in specs and price.

That's not what happened though. Physics moved back to the CPU because no one uses physics beyond a handful of props that usually disappear in a scene. Soft body, like cloth, are still typically done on GPUs like the Batman games IIRC. When it comes to volume or dense soft body GPUs still have a huge advantage.
