And since the previous titles have been Nvidia tech focused, I think it is news.

As an owner of an Intel/Nvidia rig I'm very excited to see this. Usually Nvidia games ran like crap and worse on AMD while AMD games seem to work pretty well on everything.

Probably has something to do with the sheer volume of Nvidia sponsored games, but sometimes Nvidia sponsored titles don't run well on AMD or Nvidia GPU's, *Cough* Batman

Agree. I hated having to have an Nvidia card to enjoy all "features" of Borderlands 2.

I have a big bang house. I had all the materials for my new house brought in and dumped on a vacant lot. I took a stick of dynamite, lit the fuse on fire and tossed it into the pile of materials. BOOM went the explosion and when the dust settled I had a new house! Amazing isn't it?

That was the game that came to mind for me as well. Man that was a craptacular launch, but it was fun once they got a few patches in it.

Is it? I wrote it off after the re-release was still in pretty rough shape. If it's patched up to be reasonable now I will check it out. Thanks for letting me know!

It will be interesting, for sure. I have yet to find a title that my 4790k/1080 Ti cannot run perfectly @ 1440p.

I'm ITCHING to upgrade. I have a nice chunk of change set aside for a worthwhile upgrade. Maybe Ryzen 2 is that upgrade....

saw this the other day.

https://www.techpowerup.com/254318/b...rship-with-amd

just hoping that if its an epic exclusive they do the right thing and develop a complete game and not try to sell the game in parts like 1. never played much of the second game, the excess geometry on so many of the guns (magazines on the sides of a cylinder fed gun etc)kinda irked me. i do have the collection though i may load them up in vorpx and give em a go again.

I found both titles to be CPU limited in certain areas which had a high number of draw calls due to the AI and LOD scale and quality. Hopefully with AMD involved, we'll have good CPU usage, as this is a focus of AMD's.

I'm pleased we won't have Nvidia's programmed black boxes implemented. The same features can be implemented via the game engine and/or the API, resulting in no quality loss, significantly better performance, both for AMD and Nvidia.
