Considering that your PS4, and Xbox is powered by AMD, this really shouldn't be news.

This could be the first Borderlands game that doesn't have subpar multi-core scaling.

Sony’s bespoke API certainly won’t help AMD on PC, and with Xbox I get the impression that while most games would technically be using DX12, because of Xbox specific hardware extensions, and the general lack of DX12 compatible GPUs in consumers hands, Xbox games are probably still ported from DX12 to DX11 just to reduce the variables in production by giving PC a single API to target.

All current consoles use AMD yet Borderlands 2 was Nvidia sponsored with PhysX (as well as a crap load of other games). Not sure what you were getting at tbh.

As an owner of an Intel/Nvidia rig I'm very excited to see this. Usually Nvidia games ran like crap and worse on AMD while AMD games seem to work pretty well on everything.

This game looks like it will run well on everything so long as it gets good multicore cpu support.
So everyone should be happy with their performance. AMD tossing their name in with a fun game is a good pr move.
But if you look at relative arch performance, this game looks like it is powered by Kepler

This is good news for anyone who wants to play the game on PC. Nvidia sponsored titles seem to have a hard time out of the gate, takes a patch or three to get things working right.
