Firefox was very slow back then, and Chrome had JUST gotten ScriptSafe, so I finally switched over. I remember thinking ScriptSafe's UI was cleaner and the sub-domain discrimination more effective. I don't know if it's still better, but I had no qualms adjusting because it felt like an upgrade.

Perhaps I should try FF again.

It's not really doing anything at all. You can already block third party cookies in every browser, even IE. On the rare occasion that they're required (usually single sign-on providers) you can whitelist specific hosts.

i wonder if they'd get hit with another antitrust lawsuit again, they got hit with google search and android prioritizing their own ads, so...

trolling an adult is very dangerous, don't try it at home nor at work. you don't want to play tag with a rabid man.

I feel stock FF is pretty bloated now, part of them trying to "compete" with Chrome has them turning the browser into Chrome as much as they can. I like the third party FF "distributions" as I call them, they've come a long way and are pretty polished now. Very slimmed down, not random useless updates every week, more like an ESR security update model; support for many of the XPCOM extensions which are very powerful and allow unlimited customization. Stock FF locked out the old extensions and prides itself on it's new layout, using the old extensions I can make my web browser look anyway I want it including exactly like new FF does.

well it's not like they're forcing you to use it or the only option available, there are plenty more, i personally like to stay away from chrome.

They will. EU won't let that **** fly. Fines will be heavy too since this isn't the first time. Excited to see how it goes down.
