i just try to use as few apps as humanly possible, on top of denying permissions. If the app won't work without the permissions? bye bye app, except if GPS

I also will NOT game on my phones anymore, not since the modern era. nope nope nope. That's what a Game Boy is for, and has always been for.

R.I.P. Zawarudo, may you OC angels' wings in heaven.

Better then a bunch of fridges smacking into each other 30 seconds at a time. Talk about ZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

On topic, anyone surprised? You are carrying a spy devise on behalf of big brother, never mind the corps. No need to chip everyone since they carry the chip in their pocket rather then under their skin.

"Do you want 'Football Stats' to know where you are and record what you're saying all the time - Yes/No"

It's not like it's malware attempting to subvert permissions, it asked for mic and GPS. Why would you give an app that keeps track of football games and stats permission to access the microphone and GPS? Every platform can audit permissions on a per app basis now. People just need to be taught to aggressively use it.

Ever seen a flashlight application designed to turn on the LED at the back that needs access too...

Wifi
Mic
Location data
Contacts
Emails
Read message history
Read photo history
Access SD card

Seems legit eh?
