Do you feel news needs to be regulated/punished by the government for being biased?
My point is that corporate manipulation to achieve political goals is arguably an unavoidable aspect of capitalism/democracy and has been going on in some form or another from the beginning, and exists in many other ways (Media, superpacs etc). Suddenly you now have those who have long defended this fact as being part of "free speech" and "free markets" losing their minds because it's being used in a way they weren't familiar with to promote the other political party.
I mean think about it, the very way in which this is being viewed as some crazy, unheard of thing in some circles, is just the result of the very same type of corporate bias/manipulation to make people think a certain way about something.
