Nvidia temporarily removed the driver due to GFE force install bug.

delivers the frame just in time for rendering... the hell does that mean? Isn't this the same as when pre renders = 0 actually working?

Didn't someone say it was basically "impossible" with a software scheduler? Though I hope they managed to match AMD in latency.

Also, the heck! did they do to get up to 23% performance in games? Either inflated numbers or groundbreaking driver.

In any case, I'm pretty excited about this. nVidia users now have access to the best of all 3 worlds. Jensen is low-key my man crush.

nVidia stealing Intel's and AMD's features. Thought they said they had low input latency?

Now they finally fixed Forza, Battlefield V and World War Z.
Now it's ULTRA LOW LATENCY!

I'm going to give it a shot, hopefully they are quick to release the fix for whatever this driver breaks.

well, they said they do/did in the source.

New Ultra-Low Latency Options For Faster Input Response

We know that gaming isn’t just about raw FPS – gamers also want great image quality and faster response times. So we’re introducing a new Ultra-Low Latency mode that gives gamers the ability to get the low latency feeling of high framerates, without having to compromise their graphics quality settings or resolution to get there.

The NVIDIA Control Panel has -- for over 10 years -- enabled GeForce gamers to adjust the “Maximum Pre-Rendered Frames”, the number of frames buffered in the render queue. By reducing the number of frames in the render queue, new frames are sent to your GPU sooner, reducing latency and improving responsiveness.
they just change the name of the option to “Low Latency Mode"

Yeah definitely seems like they changed the name to Off, On or Ultra It used to be numbers. Curious if they changed the location also.

i edited that out as further down the page:
Quote:
To select a Low Latency mode, open the NVIDIA Control Panel, head to “Manage 3D Settings”, and scroll down to “Low Latency Mode”. Three options are available:

Off: The game’s engine will automatically queue 1-3 frames for maximum render throughput
On: Limits the number of queued frames to 1. This is the same setting as “Max_Prerendered_Frames = 1” from prior drivers
Ultra: Submits the frame just in time for the GPU to pick it up and start rendering
so "off" then looks at the 1 to 3 setting in perendered frames while "on" ignores it - i guess.

Remember the golden rule of statistics: A personal sample size of one is a sufficient basis upon which to draw universal conclusions.
