DLSS is hamstrung by the hardware.

DLSS is essentially worthless and nVidia knows it. That's why they released that newer image sharpening overlay.
They've had that FreeStyle overlay since driver version 390 something with sharpening. They just made it easier to enable sharpening just like how they renamed their low latency setting.

The amount of current tensor cores are fine. They just require more training per game.

Freestyle has been included with the driver since 390.65 and it was available as a separate download as a "beta feature" for a few months before that.

If you want even better visuals enable DxR along with FreeStyles Image Sharpening.

AMD's stock Anti-Lag configuration is certainly at least 1 pre-rendered frame (I think it might even vary according to the driver's game profile). So it's quite disingenuous to compare the two Anti-Lag features - AMD's Anti-Lag is designed for GPU-limited scenarios where you want maximum frames whilst lowering input lag, NVIDIA's 'Ultra' 'Low-Latency' mode is for lowest-possible latency scenarios. It would be nice to see AMD add a similar feature themselves (specifically the ability to set pre-rendered frames down to 0 in the AMD game profiles and additional focus on achieving the lowest possible latency).

Given that you can actually set pre-rendered frames using regedit with AMD cards (Main3D value under 'UMD' key, use RadeonMod - 3 values to change) it would be interesting to see some actual button-to-pixel latency comparisons between NVIDIA's Ultra solution and AMD Main3D @ 0 (specifying Anti-lag state).

so from the looks of it NV changed the user accessible switch via NVCP back to 0 after all this time @ 3? N they wanna act like this is ground breaking? Most folks with any experience & a need to fine tune every game they play already messes with this and has for decades.

R.I.P. Zawarudo, may you OC angels' wings in heaven.

No, if that were the case, they would enable it with more than a few resolutions and settings.

If nVidia thinks DLSS would be the limiting factor at a certain resolution and quality setting, they disable DLSS.

Also, BFV has been out for almost a year and it really hasn't improved.

What lag? I mean really, all these gimmicks for the gullible. Just give me a card that plays at high frame rates for my monitor and that's it.

Additionally, cards kept up with higher fidelity but didn't cost an arm and a leg, that's what new cards are suppose to do. You don't get to charge more for that.

Anyway, more people holding off for a partner card that can do 1440p 144Hz at $400 CAD (cheaper in US) than I can count. If AMD and Nvidia or Intel can't get us there in the near future, then I'll keep waiting until one does.

idk I like being able to just hit a hot key to toggle anti lag n watch my fps, I feel sorry for any kids who accidentally turned on RTX and suffer low frames without knowing why their new computer is so slow. Or heck just people who bought a prebuilt and only game.

Improve for every gamer or per game bases? I tried it on Anthem and it was beyond garbage. If DLSS is not ready for AAA day 1 its pointless even if 3-4 months it might get to a decent looking level.

This is why I am not embarrassed in the least to be running a Fury, and don't plan on upgrading it until this madness breaks.

If the madness persists, well, I guess this is a 'lifetime' videocard.

If they want my money, they both have to quit artificially increasing the price and offer something real.

Be honest, behind the facade of those things, the real priority is just screwing everyone over in the name of obscene profit & delaying any kind of backlash as long as possible. That's the real world.

Interesting. The "market leader " is very bothered by AMD. They must be losing marketshare again.
