[mozilla blog] Firefox’s Test Pilot Program Returns with Firefox Private Network Beta

Quote:
Like a cat, the Test Pilot program has had many lives. It originally started as an Add-on before we relaunched it three years ago. Then in January, we announced that we were evolving our culture of experimentation, and as a result we closed the Test Pilot program to give us time to further explore what was next.

. . .

If you haven’t heard, third time’s the charm. We’re turning to our loyal and faithful users, specifically the ones who signed up for a Firefox account and opted-in to be in the know about new products testing, and are giving them a first crack to test-drive new, privacy-centric products as part of the relaunched Test Pilot program. The difference with the newly relaunched Test Pilot program is that these products and services may be outside the Firefox browser, and will be far more polished, and just one step shy of general public release.

fyi, US only and needs a firefox account for the beta.

Remember the golden rule of statistics: A personal sample size of one is a sufficient basis upon which to draw universal conclusions.
Upload the computer to Dropbox and provide a link to it so others may download it to examine and give advice for repairs.

Sounds mighty nice! I 'member when the web was all for sharing ideas. Back when you'd find random wisdom on some person's geocities page to help you ace a test or finish a stubborn project.

nay, the internet is all about licenses and copyright infringement.

trolling an adult is very dangerous, don't try it at home nor at work. you don't want to play tag with a rabid man.

US only kills what ever it's supposed to be pretty hard. Stupid IP locks done by companies like it's prehistoric times.

well porn sharing is getting hounded by copyright infringement as well, not to mention laws that influences many things like requiring censorship and such.
things are really getting sad.

buddy of mine rents a house on a canal. The house across from him is a "studio"

reality kings have their money in business all over town in my area, and are total owners of multiple cash only bars on the beach.

So more like "Realty Kings"?

#2 their debt is insane, even for a "diverse field" company. They cannot even afford to service the debt maintenance let alone make an actual dent in the debt itself. - Internet Stranger

Amen

RIP internet 1.0

Be honest, behind the facade of those things, the real priority is just screwing everyone over in the name of obscene profit & delaying any kind of backlash as long as possible. That's the real world.
