Well I'm sporting a 1080ti, I would love to upgrade to "something" better, but for the cost a 2080ti isn't worth it to me. So I guess maybe next year?

There are quite a few programs that work well and don't cause artifacting so nVidia aren't doing anything amazing, they're just making RTX buyers feel better about their purchace, which is the essence of PR.

To be fair the GTX 1080 was $700* and wasn't 50% faster than the 980Ti. RTX added a premium, but not as much as people seem to think.

"Compared to NVIDIA's GTX 980 Ti, the performance uplift is about 30%, and the GTX 1080"

Competition helps and had it not been for Vega56/64 the 1080Ti wouldn't have launched at $700. AMD needs to compete better in the high end for prices to come down. We can't expect a company trying to make profit to price their gpu's lower than they have to because we want them to.

I have a big bang house. I had all the materials for my new house brought in and dumped on a vacant lot. I took a stick of dynamite, lit the fuse on fire and tossed it into the pile of materials. BOOM went the explosion and when the dust settled I had a new house! Amazing isn't it?

that's 100% what it is. More fancy box art to sell stuff that isn't selling all that well.

if you sit down, think and research for about 5 minutes... You can green screen for FREE.

big navi.... Soon(TM)

I mean small navi has brought 1080ti perf down to ~$400.

And the 2080 is barely 10% faster than the 1080ti. The 2080 super marginally increases that.

30% increase seems great in hindsight.

Doesn't change the fact that nVidia has a poor product at that price range.

Buy more. Save more™

#2 their debt is insane, even for a "diverse field" company. They cannot even afford to service the debt maintenance let alone make an actual dent in the debt itself. - Internet Stranger

Can't basically all or most of this be done with a quality streaming camera? Judging form the video, I can't tell what the gpu is really adding other than the part with shaders.

Seems like an ad more than news to me.
