No one said they should. My point was Wattman resets after Windows crashes due to CPU/memory failed overclocks which was annoying when I upgraded my CPU from at 6700K to a 9900k and my memory. It's the reason I switched to AB from Wattman.

Oh have not experienced that. But, you are right, normal shutdown wattman retains settings. If it does not, then it could be a hardware issue. Not necessarily something is broken but could be an AIB thing.
