Why tf do my settings randomly reset itself in radeon settings? How is this okay? It's 2019 AMD...How hard is it to get your drivers to correctly save settings?

Gets saved on my XT and 5700. Are you using Afterburner or other 3rd party app?

Are you saving them using profiles?

no and yes. it's very obvious it's software related and not user related, I've also seen hundreds of comments having this same problem. (reddit)

Not sure what to tell you. But both my navis use Wattman only for profiles. Settings stay even after reboot. I have to use Wattman just to undervolt cos both are reference. Unless you are talking about other settings like oc'ing, power limit, etc. I never touch those.

Are you just referring to Wattman? If so it resets settings after it detects Windows shutting down incorrectly. I got sick of it when benchmarking so I switched to afterburner.

As long as you have your profile saved I don't see how clicking load profile is that much trouble over running a 3rd party app alongside. My profile has only failed to load when I had an unstable oc.

Afterburner just auto starts without me having to click anything. I also don't like Wattman due to the sliders which don't support keyboard support for fine tuning. Requested it multiple times but I guess they won't be adding it.

Fair enough, but isn't that also too risky? If it was unstable enough to crash why would you want it to reload immediately during windows startup. Haven't used AB in a long time though, so maybe it has a fail safe that I forgot/don't know about? Wattman won't reload the profile for me during a crash and I had that issue with AB when pushing memory too far back in my 7970ghz days (reboots as soon as it hit's windows due to pushing my mem too far)

Not going to argue about the sliders though, I've always preffered the easier adjustments in AB.

No need to click the profiles. Settings stay even after shutdown, reboot, and restarts.

Yes it is risky if someone saved an unstable GPU overclock. I'm referring to my CPU/memory overclocks. Wattman resets when Windows is shutdown incorrectly not just related to GPU overclocks.
