Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.9.3 Highlights

Support For

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon® Breakpoint

Radeon Image Sharpening
Now available on Radeon VII, Radeon RX Vega 64, Radeon RX Vega 56 and Radeon Vega Frontier Edition graphics products for DirectX®12 and Vulkan® applications.

Fixed Issues

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice™ may exhibit texture corruption during later parts of the game.
Discord™ may experience an application hang on Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products when HW acceleration is enabled.

Known Issues

Toggling HDR may cause system instability during gaming when Radeon ReLive is enabled.
Display artifacts may be experienced on some 75hz display configurations on Radeon RX 5700 series graphics system configurations.
Call of Duty®: Black Ops 4 may experience stutter on some system configurations.
Open Broadcasting Software™ may experience frame drops or stutter when using AMF encoding on some system configurations.
HDMI® overscan and underscan options may be missing from Radeon Settings on AMD Radeon VII system configurations when the primary display is set to 60hz.
Stutter may be experienced when Radeon FreeSync is enabled on 240hz refresh displays with Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products.
AMD Radeon VII may experience elevated memory clocks at idle or on desktop.
Still no mention of the Radeon VII broken Core clock overclocking. They added RIS support for Vega after getting called out for not supporting their highest end card. Why can't they be like nVidia and bring support to all their current cards they support? FreeStyles supports all the way back to Fermi when it was released.

That rumor about one generation at a time turned out to be true. RIS is on Vega now.

I'll be honest here, the VII is my first "high end" (whatever that means these days) card from AMD since I splashed out on an HD5870 long ago, not sure I'll pony up again unless the price is right. The drivers are a headache to say the least. Is 19.9.3 stable at least? I'm stable on 19.4.2 and 19.5.2, but haven't had the guts to try any others since it always seems to be a crash-fest for me.

And it's just incredibly stupid that overclocking is STILL broken. Get it together, AMD.

I stopped using AMD after owning 2 5770s in crossfire due to random black screen problems with their HD 5000 series drivers that they took 6 months to fix.

I switched back to AMD after owning 2 GTX 1070s to a Vega 64 since I wanted to run my hackintosh perfectly. I truly haven't had any stability issues with any of AMD's drivers on Windows since switching. I've tried all of AMD drivers since Vega 10 came out and never had any issues with blue screens or random black screen.

I enjoy the performance on macOS and all support AMD cards receive on Linux. My machine on Clear Linux is running perfectly and FreeSync/overclocking work great. Sure I'm missing out on RIS and Anti-Lag but I don't mind. I do play Destiny 2 though which Bungie bans for using Wine. It's the only game that has me still booting into Windows. I've been playing Borderlands 3 on Clear Linux without an issue so that is holding me over until Destiny 2 ShadowKeep is out.

I'm still waiting to see if Bungie will be releasing a statement regarding running Destiny 2 with Proton before purchasing ShadowKeep. I can Preload it using Proton and it doesn't prevent me but doesn't mean they won't ban me for playing it.

Just realized that Wattman settings are maintained even after reboot or shutdown. Or, last setting is restored when you open AMD radeon settings?
