They merged my two least favorite browsers (chrome and edge) and gave it a compatibility mode for my third least favorite browser (IE). I think this gets a solid pass from me.

Extremely love the tiny memory footprint (less than Chrome and Firefox).

Suppose the next generation needs to experience their own IE melodrama.

Wonderful, it's good to know that there's yet another browser I can ignore.

This is so true.

I use Chrome at work purely for the on-the-fly translation function. But I really don't want to. Everywhere I can I used Firefox, Waterfox or Brave (although Brave is now also chromium engined and I grow increasingly frustrated with it...)

So basically the only real game left in town is Firefox.

There's a few "de-Googled" Chromium based browsers but there's debate as to how de-Googled they actually are, consensus is there is still some Google in them.

All other Firefox based browsers have too small of a user base that you basically get uniquely browser fingerprinted and tracked across sites, same applies for the Chromium derivatives.

So it's either Firefox or Tor Browser. I've been using TBB as a daily driver for over a year now, if you take TBB and disable the Tor network (and say make it use a VPN instead) it's basically a really souped up and hardened Firefox that works really well.

Does it have EPUB reader built in?
Does it spawn 100 processes for 100 tabs and turn to a crawl and eat all RAM just like Chrome? Probably, since it's yet another Chrome with different name.

Why are people still crying about ram in 2020? Is there some kind of shortage of ram?

Use more ram if it makes browsing faster! I just wish these browsers would get better session managers built in. 10 years ago I used Opera and was able to save windows as a session so I could come back to them later. When you can name, save, and load multiple sessions any time you want, you don't really need to have 40+ tabs open at once anymore.

tl;didn't watch

It's a sign of crappy programing. There's websites that haven't changed at all since 98 and you could view them perfectly on Netscape navigator using 512mb of ram and yet viewing that same site today that hasn't changed on a "modern" browser is using 2gb+ of ram.
