i'm 100% for more vulkan. it runs better for me everywhere it co-exists with a DX12 variant. most recently being RDR2.

Best R0ach Quote of all time : TLDR: Haswell might be the last legit gaming platform unless mice get their own non-USB interface on some newer architecture.

The only thing this can bring is a massive push for Vulkan and that would actually be great. On the Windows side of things Vulkan doesn't have much relevance and people is actually surprised when a game uses Vulkan instead/along of DX11 or DX12 like RDR2but in Linux it is like Jesus' second coming.

There was some arguing over the Windows 7 thread about whether proprietary software can be replaced or not and Vulkan is another perfect example that once an open source project takes afoot there's nothing much to do against it. Unless MS starts using some shady practices, DX12 is dead in the water.
Vulkan is missing a ray tracing API which they have already stated they're working on to compete with DxR. I'm sure game developers don't want to use VKRay because I'm sure AMD won't be supporting it. At least with DxR we know AMD will support it with their upcoming cards.

eh. My fps was higher but my frame times were worse on Vulkan. And I couldn't get reshade to work on it so I had to deal with the crappy TAA implementation

also vulkan wouldn't show up in my stream

Two "I'm sure" in one sentence. One leap of faith is something, two is something else.

Why wouldn't AMD support the Vulkan API when it is a Khronos Group member?

EDIT: I got it wrong and my brain farted. Sorry about that.

VKRay is a nVidia extension not a Vulkan API.

GPU in general. I'd hope you're streaming in 264, or you'd be a retro streamer

Never mentioned VKRay. I said the Vulkan API, so whatever extension they develop in-house or get from AMD.

EDIT: I got it wrong. I'm honestly sorry about it.

Vulkan is also a collection of APIs just like DirectX. They already stated they are working on an API for ray tracing. I stated that AMD wouldn't support VKRay. I don't know why you're trying to play a little game and change my words.
