Or they just have crappy and poorly managed servers and are projecting blame.

It's not going to be hard to figure out the IP of game servers that anyone can join.

There really is no protection against these types of attacks, you can't tell the good traffic from the bad. All you can do is bring more servers and load balancers online to handle the load or just get overloaded.

you got that wrong, the ISP's address itself isn't changeable, knock down the ISP = no internet.
and yes, there have been many instances of IXP getting knocked down by DDoS attacks, this made global communication utterly slow.

edit: to begin with, DDoS attacks have become a serious issue to the point that services like Cloudflare popped up.

trolling an adult is very dangerous, don't try it at home nor at work. you don't want to play tag with a rabid man.

Good on Ubisoft, I wish all game companies would do this for people that use 3rd party hacks to ruin gameplay.

doesn't matter that they aren't a bank, who middleman's the transactions made in-game and in-app? & even that doesn't matter. the fact is, they're profitable enough to not have cost as an excuse to not properly execute on ddos protection.

I bet ubi has more customers than some of the banks with proper ddos prevention services (3rd party almost always)

what? did you even read it?

so you want AAA to sue script kiddies, and the associated sites that provide the education, and or monetized cheat.exes?
