[AMD]Radeon Software Adrenalin 20.2.2 Optional Drivers

AMD have released the optional 20.2.2 drivers.

Link to the release notes:
https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/re...rad-win-20-2-2

Direct download links for those wishing to skip the release notes:
Win Spy/10:
https://drivers.amd.com/drivers/beta....2.2-Feb28.exe

Win 7:
https://drivers.amd.com/drivers/beta....2.2-Feb28.exe

I assume 8.x users can install 7 drivers.

Edit: edited the title before someone complains it's incomplete.

Personally I haven't experienced any problems with these Andrenaline problems, which could be related with me not overclocking my friends 570 (rebranded as 580 2034 Shaders).

Unfortunately, they do not work, stomping our dreams of an OS as fast as winspy, but without the ....spy part.

Be honest, behind the facade of those things, the real priority is just screwing everyone over in the name of obscene profit & delaying any kind of backlash as long as possible. That's the real world.

Do Spy drivers work or have 8.x users been abandoned and expected to use Spy?

I use LTSB/LTSC through the admin department of the largest hospital here so it doesn't bother me but still, abandoning 8 is harsh.

Never had any of those issues.

But now they messed up fan curve, cannot go lower than 33%. This is bad. For the first time since using AMD cards (3870, 290, 5700 XT) I think I will roll back to previous drivers. Which is quite ironic seeing as the only purpose of this release is to fix problems ;D

Constant crashes in games (mostly BL3) with this new driver with my 5700xt. Annnnnnd fan control is even worse now. Stuck at 30% idle when it should be 0. Cannot adjust without it reverting.

Can you tell me how BL3 crashes? Also, fan control was improved. They just now set a limit to how low the fan can go. My reference idles at 1200 rpm / 25 %

I can still set zero fan speed, but cannot use custom fan curve in that case. In previous drives I could go as low as 10% for fan speed, which meant fans wouldn't spin which was great. Now fans are stuck at 1000 rpm at idle.

I'm just chugging along and anywhere from 1-10 minutes in, I just get a black screen and screeching audio. Both PCs usually reboot themselves, but occasionally I need to power off and on.

Both are 3600x. One is on a b450i and the other a meg ace x570.

I've used AMD's removal tool as well as DDU. I don't know what is wrong with me at this point, let alone the card(s).
