AMD pulls that and I'll be on green shores real fast.

d/led the bench... seems the scores posted are somewhat accurate despite me pulling 9600 on DX12 (edited, said Vulkan prior) with a much slower cpu and keeping my VII at stock?

Not really. GCN is on the way out at "Vega" did not sell that much to gamers.

It's only a yet another update to years old benchmark. Also 3x smaller than the older version for what ever reason.

This version has optional assets. Maybe the previous version included them by default? That would be my guess.

Also, I got like 12k score on vulkan with my 1080 ti. Granted it is a beast version but I'm also only using a 1700x. Seems older gen cards are represented kind of poorly in that benchmark, or at least the tests they ran.

That's pretty close to the definition of innovation.

I noticed that too, didn't reinstall the old version. My results are OK unlike newer Superposition update where it chokes on my CPU even more and gives me lower FPS and score than previous version, they wrote the scores are comparable, well they're not when it's obviously running a worse performing CPU code. For Basemark... it can be a bit moody, click start, it blinked did nothing, click start, it ran the test and gave no score, well 3rd time it finally did the whole thing I remember the original version not being much better so I didn't keep it installed.

Considering the RVII is a dead tech and AMD seems to not plan to update it anymore, I expect the 5700 xt to be equal or a bit better on future games as optimization will be there, but not for the RVII.
It might not be the fine wine as before, but for future games the 5700xt will get better results I expect.

Their scores for nVidia look kinda low.

I'll keep buying yesterday's technology.

The day the 2080 launched, was going to buy it. I bought 1080ti for $509 and free shipping.
It works really well, 0 problems with it.
