So with all the compute power [email protected] is leveraging against COVID19, what have they gotten done with it?

That is only true for CPU based projects, the only GPU projects available are for COVID19.

They figured out how it attaches to the body and they are researching how to block it. That is the big headline, I would probably need a doctorate to understand any of the small stuff.

That's pretty cool! I wonder how much more they can uncover as it continues to grow.

I mean this option is only a priority. If there are no other jobs you get the same result when using the option or not but the option does not stop other GPU or CPU projects running if there are no Covid19 work units available.

Yeah normally that is how it would work, I was just stating that for GPU there are literally no other projects being run. They are only COVID19, you can check here https://apps.foldingathome.org/psummary. Projects listed as OPENMM_22. If you fold on your CPU, GRO_A7, you still have a chance of getting a non COVID project.

The OPENMM_21 projects are non COVID GPU, but they are not being assign by the servers at the moment.

None of the computing power matters without the scientists ability to interpret the data. We won't know what it did until the eventual cure and news about it. This https://foldingathome.org/2020/04/03...ike-in-action/ is what our collective super computer allows scientists to see. Understanding binding proteins will help shape the cure.
