Valve responded

https://twitter.com/csgo/status/1253...901774336?s=21

Quote:
We have reviewed the leaked code and believe it to be a reposting of a limited CS:GO engine code depot released to partners in late 2017, and originally leaked in 2018. From this review, we have not found any reason for players to be alarmed or avoid the current builds.

As always, playing on the official servers is recommended for greatest security.

We will continue to investigate the situation and will update news outlets and players if we find anything to prove otherwise. In the meantime, if anyone has more information about the leak, the Valve security page (next tweet) describes how best to report that information.

Good. The people I know who get super into counter strike are all jack asses. It takes a certain type of angsty personality to enjoy that game in my experience.

Also valve is a lazy developer that can't count to 3 and didn't know how to make a game unless it pushes some obscure agenda so this is hardly surprising.

Someone probably would if anyone still cared about BF5. EA are the absolute market leaders when it comes to killing franchises.

I don't see anything new if Valve was giving it away before already. Someone simply leaked a paid version to public is all, big deal. The cheatmakers already had the code anyway if they even need it at all considering how bad Source is when it comes to anti cheat.

I thought this was the case as well, but then I played some other games in this quarantine and realized in the world of FPSes, CSGO has the best anti-cheat.
