we've solved so many transient poster problems around here with "first, uninstall GFE."
I have never had problems with games cuase of GFE. I didn't even know it was a thing.

I did once, it tried to set Mass Effect Andromeda to full screen, but in full screen my screen goes into a weird out of sync state. I had to make sure it didn't try to mess with the settings for MEA. That was the only time though, and while frustrating it was not hard to solve without uninstalling.

yeah idk... i could never put my finger on WHY. my system is quite basic. 9700k in an MSI board, with a 2080ti n 16gb of ram. nothing old, nothing weird, no capture cards. just lots of NVME & SATA SSD.

i could re-install it right now, and it would most likely re-brick everything

so then I started advising it to a rash of new posts about weirdness, and it happened to be a resolution for many of them.

Some games do not work well with OSD software.

I have not had any issues with Geforce Experience, but have had some with RivaTuner OSD(included with MSI Afterburner for OSD features). Updates generally fixed these issues.
These issues where game crash on start or black screens.

I do not play many games so I am sure some games may have Geforce Experience issues. I would hope Nvidia would have fixed it by now.

yep. I stopped using OSDs long ago because I'm stupidly sensitive to stutter.

I now just capture & look at the logs later, or at the most turn on my monitor's built in Hz tracker.

I'm pretty sure that every manufacturer of gaming hardware (gpus, mice, headsets, keyboards etc..) that needs software has had their software cause crashing and instability in games for it's users. I would not be surprised to find out that most/all of these problems (including OSD problems) stem from anti cheat and anti theft counter measures in the game.
