Well, it is a 64-bit app, and to run 64-bit apps you need a 64-bit OS, so unless your planning to run it under Linux, I think your out of luck.

How hard is it to get Steam running under Linux? And does it take a performance hit?

I've actually heard it's extemely difficult to do unfortunately...

From what I've heard the 64 bit OS's are crap. *Windows anyways* Due to the fact that all they did was double up the script. Really makes sense huh lol. Any real performance benifits from running 64 bit?
