I really enjoyed both the original and HR, as well as awesome ambient in-game music for them (mostly the original one). Never had any issues with performance in HR (was flawless on my end) or the gameplay, hopefully next one will be at least as good or better (hopefully with better graphics and larger indoor/outdoor areas).

Edit: I know that some people had performance issues with DX:HR, particularly with Nvidia cards, but simple registry fix (changing some value) solved all of the performance issues for most of them wink.gif

I loved Deus Ex ever since I played the demo some decades ago. I might have to make it my mission to play - and finish - Deus Ex 2, since I have never progressed more than an hour into the game, and eventually I was just backlogged and overwhelmed with other releases. Come to think of it, I might have never finished the first Deus Ex either. *sigh*.

Nevertheless, I was hyped for Human Revolution and in my eyes it was every bit as good as the first game. I am a big fan of games that offer freedom of choice when it comes to tackling the game. And Deus Ex and HR were right on the spot of offering a good balance between those two choices. It's sad that HR never got some good DLC love apart from that one DLC they released and the Director's Cut. I am looking forward to the next iteration of Deus Ex, though!

If they can fix these weak points, I'll be interested. Otherwise, I couldn't care less.

Buggy? I just finished my 4th playthrough of human revolution and I don't think I've encountered a single bug.

Not at all. IW was good but not as good as the first game. So HR took the crown from the original biggrin.gif

It had constant bugs for me. Audio playing out of sync, skipping, and repeating constantly. Some instances where interactive assets wouldn't interact without restarting the game. Crash to desktop once every hour or two. yuck.

Aside from that, I was also not a fan of the poor framerate despite having a more than adequate system, or the really clunky controls.

I was gifted the directors cut, so maybe I'll try it again with that, but I'm not optimistic. I'm actually pretty surprised none of you guys had (or at least noticed) such issues.

It's the buggiest modern game I've played. Spent hours troubleshooting, and every bug I encountered was well documented on their forum, but with no solutions. I posted something pretty similar at another forum, if they can release a much better port this time around, and fix the quirky (well intentioned, poorly executed) gameplay, I'm game for the sequel.

From what I have read, it's buggier than the original release. They apparently ported it from the console version of the DC, which had none of the PC specific patches from the original release. So they ended up having to redo those fixes, but never got everything, and introduced some new issues as well.
