For the same price as a vr headset, you can get 3 monitors + head tracking and it will be massively more useful in everything you do at your pc. Just sayin'.

You can get 3 monitors and a head tracker for $400?

How bad are those screens?

It is true you can buy 3 monitors and a head tracker with the same or less money than what you'd spend on a VR headset. You're absolutely right.

But you still wouldn't have a VR headset to play VR games or use VR-only applications. So, I'm not exactly sure what your point is. Were you trying to make one at all?

Ah, and what reviews or personal experience lead you to this claim? The general consensus between owners and reviews disagrees with you pretty hard.

I wouldn't even take 3 $300 screens over the $400 headset, let alone a $1000 one. Head tracking is neat and all but you still have limited screen real-estate to actually look at.

Those without more than a few mins of experience with modern VR do not understand. It's an entirely different experience that cannot be replicated in any way.

uhhh screen space is the one place you still win by clinging to 3 screen simming.

Add me on Steam, same name

Best R0ach Quote of all time : TLDR: Haswell might be the last legit gaming platform unless mice get their own non-USB interface on some newer architecture.

Guess it depends on your definition. Peripheral vision is the one place you still win with three screens, but available screen to look at is near infinitely in VR's favor, and even peripheral vision is an iffy argument due to camera fisheye lensing in 48:9 aspect. Head tracking is not eye tracking after all.

For the record, my argument was that you can not look over your shoulder or even to the side with tri-screen, if it was not clear.

Silly Imouto, OCN is dead, the last transition killed it.
