Yeah. And decent live-action fantasy fight scenes are hard to pull off, AFAIK.

I'd say Mads Mikkelsen for the dour, conflicted Geralt, but he'd have to stretch to do the funny.

Interesting. If they can pull it off correctly, can be pretty good.

^ They've paid out the ass for content. Dave Chapelle (good) and Adam Sandler's (bad) contracts are good examples of such. I'd be interested to see if they can develop it as HBO has with Game of Thrones, it could definitely be quite the hit series.

This would cost an insane amount of money to do right. The monsters would need to be mostly CG. You'd need to create large environments with a mixture of green screens for every scene. The costume and makeup budget would be massive. We're talking Game of Thrones level budget.

I doubt Netflix is willing to put out the money in order to do it correctly, it would be their most expensive show yet, but we'll see. I think the Witcher books are far better than Game of Thrones books, so maybe they will go all in and hope for similar success.

Tough to do..

The flash for example is a fairly weak show because they don't have the budget for better cgi..
