I liked the first two recent ones. Didn't think they were totally awesome, but definitely enjoyable and worth my time. Still have some games I want to finish so I thought it was ok to wait for a bit on this one, but when I saw it on sale night before last I snapped it up. It just moved up to number 2 on the list. And I like choosing the stealth option. I hope she doesn't get caught by everyone by jumping onto a climbable rock cliff like the last game. That was disappointingly realistic.

Can see why people who bought it at full price might be upset, but if the devs and Steam think they can make more money by luring folks like me in with an unexpected temporary discount who am I to judge?
Giving a negative review on a game because of something not directly related is pretty cheap. Especially if it is because of a Steam sale. ROTR is $15 right now if anyone is interested.

I loved the first two... they got tedious at times, but I finished them both. I didn't see anything in the prerelease videos that made me want it, so I'll buy it when it's heavily discounted. It felt more like cashing in on the popularity of the first two than anything unique. It looked more like old vintage TR rehash, which wouldn't be bad, but wanting $100+ for a game with DLC? I'll buy the GOTY version for $15 in a year or two.

Can I get a ray-traced Laura on my 4k? No? Then I keep my money.

When the product is finished, we can revisit if I want to buy RTX or SOTR. Never pre-order anything.

I was very disapointed with the second one : too much narration, the map is so messy, you got to craft everything and there is no new game plus (or i couldn't find it) so all for nothing, Jonah is such an annoying character . I found the first one much more dynamic and savage , lara is better . So when i hear it's like watching a movie, for the 3rd , i m scared and when i watch some streams about it, except the graphics ,damn we re going back to the old boring tomb raider where you just contemplate shiny 3d objects ,solve some 3 year's old enigma and follow some dumb scenarios.I will play it when it will be cheaper as it is crap.

It's just a video game ,they are schizo with realism .How can you sell realism when your scenario is just about killing a magic goddess witch. We dont really care how it's holding, dude.. And it's just to match with the actress of the recent movie. She is so flat that's painful to watch..

I would like to thank the deranged review bombers for informing me of the excellent sales on Tomb Raider products. I would have never noticed otherwise.

I bought this game during the sale, but I am waiting for the option to turn RTX On before playing it.
