I loved the second game and just bought the 2013 game for like $3.50 and started playing it. Graphics still look surprisingly good and the gameplay is just like ROTTR. I won't be paying full price for the third game, lol. I considered buying it for $40 on sale, but decided to get the 2013 game instead. Wise choice. Will buy 3rd game in year or two for less than a fiver.

I am looking forward to this game, granted however I was never going to buy it at the price it was as I knew it would likely come down in price once I get my RTX cards, so for me this is a bonus but I can understand the early adopters being upset, but then again you risk this anytime you buy anything, the price can vary at any point leading to buyer regret.

I can somewhat understand the anger at such a large discount so soon after release, but jesus some people need to get out more. It's a game not your firstborn!

I'm quite certain that this whole RTX is gonna be a serious disappointment anyway, not likely to be worth waiting it out for. RTX should have been available on Day 1, not months down the line. I mean if your going to plaster a game with RTX logo's over everything, why isn't it already in place? I'd be far more angry having bought a £1200 GPU that I can't actually use for what I bought it for, than the price drop on the game itself.

That's not a fair comparison. I had to pre-order my firstborn 9 months before release.

Some of us bought it for the 30% increase in rasterization performance.

it is still an epic fail architecture. Imaging if all the die size is use for Raster, cuda cores, TMU instead of RT/tensor cores.

It's not a fail in architecture, it's just not more than a slight performance increase because they have done minor improvements to Pascal.

If you want RTX, if you want AI performance implementations, you have to start somewhere, that somewhere is expensive, if that is not for you then do not buy these cards. However, complaining is silly and does not add to the conversation.

Then it wouldn't be advancing the tech toward superior image fidelity.

RTX is fine but are you a 1080p gamer? Also do you do HDR? HDR in the games > than RTX.
