290x clocked past 390x speeds... still feels good man. Though this game is finally making me get the itch to upgrade. Won't settle for anything less than 1080ti though at this rate.

Can anyone with the game confirm if you can disable hdr or not? It ruined the beta for me.

Yes, it can be turned off.

That said, the gameplay compared to the beta is even worse. Couldn't delete it and get a refund fast enough. Can't wait to see user reviews, the current crop of paid EA critics doesn't really gauge interest.

Gunplay is different from BF1. Better maps. Vehicle mastery seems to have strayed into more obscurity. The fact that random bullet deviation was removed is huge. You can master a gun now. Attachments don't do squat gameplay-wise. Frame rates are similar to BF1, so its not gonna tank my rig. DX12 is forever trash in frostbite. Single player yet again is a waste of harddrive space. Weighing the pros and cons, i'll be playing BFV. I need my fps fix and COD doesnt work for me. No OCN BFV platoon?!

You have been on that 290X for far too long. I remember you having the same conversation when BF1 came out.

VRAM?

https://www.guru3d.com/articles_page...chmarks,7.html

I have a big bang house. I had all the materials for my new house brought in and dumped on a vacant lot. I took a stick of dynamite, lit the fuse on fire and tossed it into the pile of materials. BOOM went the explosion and when the dust settled I had a new house! Amazing isn't it?

I have a 390X and have been thinking the same thing. Time to upgrade.

Yea I know

Though considering I'm at 80% res scale of 4k (3072x1728) all ultra/high except post at medium and TAA set to low it's doing pretty good at 45-70fps. My 4790k (paired with 16gb ddr2400 cas10) even at this res is seeing 60-70% usage with my gpu being the bottleneck. Ironically this leaf blower of a stock cooler at 75% fan speed is what makes me want to swap the card the most. Have to run these fan speeds to maintain the 1125mhz core and 1500mhz mem vs the stock 1000/1250 for prolonged sessions. Can pull a higher core count but 1125 seems to hold without any issue whatsoever and temps are in the 75*c area.

Just as a fyi for all Frostbite games, post processing makes the biggest hit with little visual impact.

Also, with future frame rendering on vs I gained a good 10-15fps and don't feel any difference in input lag at all w/ vsync off.

With the frame rendering off it killed my frames and was far more stuttery ironically.
