As someone who has been a big fan of BF games since the first one, I cannot express enough how disappointed I am with this game. It would be a great COD game but it's a crappy Battlefield game. The biggest maps are about 1/4th the size of most of the maps from the original. I had hope that since they are revisiting the era in which the first game took place, they would actually try to emulate some of the things that made the first game so good rather than completely ignoring all of them to make a COD game instead of a new Battlefield game.

They need to: double the amount of vehicles on all maps, beef up main bases to include airfields and base defenses and have vehicles spawn on the map instead of out of thin air.

The tanks are so bad they might as well have left them out of the game. They do so little damage to other tanks and infantry that they are basically pointless. You literally have to hit an infantry head on to kill them with a tank round. If you hit 1 foot right next to them the splash damage will just tickle them. They have balanced the fun out of this game.

thanks for convincing me to buy bfv.

vehicles are cancer, especially in the modern bfs. they make for a very unbalanced game.

This is so wrong on so many levels.

If vehicles are cancer then why don't you just play COD? Vehicles are the point of bf games.

There is BF5 sucks thread for this discussion and he's not really wrong. BF has turned into CoD and CoD has turned into Battle Royale.

Why is the 390X beating the Fury X? Can't be due to 4GB VRAM surely?

Meanwhile I'm sitting here happily playing... and I've been playing BF since BF1942 and COD since well... the original as well.

Things change, roll with them. Game is fun for me... I see a tank as a single infantry I bounce, and I get killed by them just as easily as before. In fact, it's almost nice not being able to be seen by IR, etc where escape is futile.

The 4GB limit was the bane of the fury X since it came out.
But considering that card was not a 4K ultimate card, and was meant for 1440p play and lower quality 4K, it is still in an ok-ish place in DX12 titles considering its rivals.
The extra 4GB of the 390x allows it to compensate in storing the data vs its lower performance, while the fury X can't compensate as the game takes more than 4GB even at 1440p.

Couldn't agree more. I had zero interest in BFV before, now, I'm somewhat interested.
