On the Win 10 store I’ve only had to re-download an entire game once, and then there’s the fact that I bought “Minecraft for Windows 10” and it only runs on Xbox. After spending three hours with customer service they gave up and told me to send a bug report to Mojang, who doesn’t have a clue what I’m talking about and didn’t even bother looking at the error messages (the game is supposed to install on both PC and Xbox).
Anyway, with all my ancient Minecraft accounts I’ve got access to multiple free Win10 version keys anyway, but in this instance the existence of two platforms on the same store totally broke the system.

Microsoft really needs to add a bandwidth limiter, and the ability to do offline backups so that we can re-install games without downloading.

The original problem is from three years ago, yes. It is still a problem that hasn't been fixed. Look at the most recent responses, they're from yesterday. But sure, keep on being the white knight of the windows store.

I'd say Sept is very possible but I'm setting my expectations for Nov.

Halo:Combat Evolved - November 15, 2001

Halo 2 - November 9, 2004

Halo 3 - September 25, 2007

Halo 3: ODST - September 22, 2009

Halo: Reach - September 14, 2010

Halo 4 - November 6, 2012

Halo MCC - November 11, 2014

Halo 5: Guardians - October 27, 2015

The Xbox versions released end of year. I'm just latching onto hope here but, Halo 2 Vista released in May. I can dream.

It's windows, its the most widely used software that exists on a consumer level. The fact that you can find one issue with it proves absolutely nothing except that you have a bias because you seem to have based a strong opinion on very little. There will always be some issues you can find with anything related to windows. Doesn't change that overall, the windows store works fine. I don't have a preference for it or anything, I mostly use steam like all of us do, but the fact is that it works fine and I will defend reality.

There's an AMA thread on reddit from "ske7ch" who is the community director at 343 Industries with a lot of good information.

Support for 21:9, 16:9, 16:10, 3:2, 4:3 has been confirmed. 32:9 and multi-monitor setups were not mentioned as far as I could find.
He did mention that they are investigating uncapped framerates, centered crosshairs and FoV support. He did mention these options may differ between the games based on how well the game handles the changes.
Official mod support is coming as well as a custom server browser. There is chatter of cross-play being added one day which would be awesome.

Sounds like you've got incredibly low standards for software. Carry on.

The windows store is a disaster for me too. Constant crashes with Forza Horizon 4, the solution? I have to delete and re-download the complete game every 3 or 4 weeks. Thanks microsoft.

I'm happy this is coming to Steam, seeing I use Enterprise LTSB it means I don't have the Windows store... not that I want the store .

Any idea on pricing for this yet? Can't imagine it'll be cheap.

59.99 USD is what the launch price was in the US in 2014, minus Reach. Xbox users who currently own MCC will need to pay for the Reach campaign + firefight to added to the collection, the price hasn't been announced yet.
I'd wager we'll see the MCC on PC for 99.99 USD with Reach included.
