Yea, I don't get it. Vanilla GOTY Morrowind runs horribly on it and I can't figure out why. Don't get me wrong, I'm not expecting it to run like it does on my 4790k but something isn't right. And it's definitely on the cpu side, as places like Balmora just kill me.

A 2.4ghz puma quad like mine is roughly equivalent to a 3.2ghz FX in single core performance so it's not exactly horrible for a 15w tdp laptop from 2014. I run much newer far more demanding games at higher fps.

That's bizarre. I bet you could swap in literally any other CPU and it would work fine. The CPU requirements for morrowind is like a 700mhz pentium 3 or something, way less than anything from that generation. You should be getting well over 100fps easy.
