The problem with BLTPS was that it was worse than BL2. It has some key problems like no endgame, the aussie theme showed down your throat and excessively long dialogues among others but it was a great game nonetheless. Just worse than BL2 and it was a letdown.

I played the first one and after I got to the end and realized they literally kept the end of the game separate to sell as a DLC, I was 100% done with this series. What they did with the DLC in the fist one was the most aggreges DLC crap I've seen in any game. Unforgiveable.

Rage 2 looks like it's going to be better anyway.
If you actually understand the story, the vanilla BL1 had the actual ending. It was just terrible and Knoxx and Clappy DLCs were better.

If you missed the second one... well, you missed a great game with some of the best DLCs ever.

Hopefully they add more skills per class instead of the one per class junk from the current games. Soooo much potential (like 3-4 skills per class PLUS guns), but so far it's just a bland spray and pray game, with only slight variations per class.

Good one...

In the first borderlands game, if you just played the original game and not some game of the year edition bundle or whatever, the whole time the game talks about this vault your supposed to find and lets it up as a pretty clear end goal. Then all the sudden you fight one very easy boss that is just a bullet sponge with no real threat and the credits just start rolling with no ending whatsoever. The vault part was sold later as a DLC. It was ridiculous, it would be like if you bought a Call of Duty game for the single player and at some point the game goes "Guess what, we saved the last few levels of the single player for a separate DLC. Pay us if you want to finish the game!".

But yea I'M the weird guy for wanting to at least get a complete campaign from a full priced game and not one that sells itself as a full game only to end in the middle. It was a long time ago, people were pretty mad about it back then and they quickly started selling the game as a bundle that included the DLC instead.

The last game I beat was Assassins Creed Odyssey which is a great game for a 4K HDR 5.1 setup like mine (ya know, for all those ten year old games I love to play) and I gotta say, Ubisoft has nailed down the right way to do DLC and microtransactions. If its a real DLC it will add something to the story that really adds to it from another angle and doesn't feel like it was left out of the main game, and all the microtransaction stuff is pure cosmetic. I've got nothing against DLC when done right. Boarderlands 1 was an example of the worst way to do it. A lot of you probably bought the game later when it included the DLC and were never even aware, or you didn't finish the game. If you beat the game before the DLC was out, you would have been mad for sure.

It wasn't an "aussie theme shoved down your throat." It was simply made by Australians, in a studio in Australia.

What makes you say it's going to be Nvidia sponsored?

Finally. Pre-Sequel didn't quite do it for me so I'm hoping this scratches the itch.
I mean come on, guns with legs? I'm sold.

*yawn*

1 was interesting but deeply flawed.

2 fixed none of the issues with 1 and introduced a ton of new issues, and only survived its abysmal launch because of the absurd amount of hype it generated pre-launch.

Never touched TPS, but everyone seems to think its the worst of the 3, so either it was actually a good game and everyone just lost their minds cause it fixed the issues of the previous two, or much more likely, it was actual garbage.

Not getting the slightest bit hyped for 3. Wake me up when the inevitable "GTOY Edition" (what a joke of a title, but that's its own issue) with the $180 worth of mandatory DLC included goes on sale for 30 bucks or less, and if the critical reviews are still good, maybe I'll care then.

So what you're saying is you didn't understand the ending or any of the hints dropped during the game by Angel that explained the ending. The Armory was an entirely separate deal that gave a loot room. But it's the dev's fault that you assumed the vault was a loot room?

This is going to be great - BL2 was one of the most fun games ever.
