Then all the sudden you fight one very easy boss that is just a bullet sponge with no real threat and the credits just start rolling with no ending whatsoever. The vault part was sold later as a DLC. It was ridiculous, it would be like if you bought a Call of Duty game for the single player and at some point the game goes "Guess what, we saved the last few levels of the single player for a separate DLC. Pay us if you want to finish the game!".
I played BL1 right to that actual end on launch and was really happy that the ending wasn't a stupid big boss battle cliche, I actually enjoyed the humorous ending way more instead and it was very fitting for the game to end that way. It's not like the bit right before the end to get to that vault was a walk in the park, that gave more than enough great gameplay for my liking.

I finished the first one and half way throughout the second one I stopped as it was samy samy. The 3rd one will probably be more akin to an expansion then serve to revitalize the IP. Why do people keep buying the same game over and over? Those that pre-order without waiting for reviews should have their PCs confiscated.

Really scared this game will suck. Did they go down the rabbit hole of online only, co op only and micro transactions ? I played and loved the first and second with several hundred hours in both. Presequel was god awful even though it was a different dev I'm still very scared. They are on a slippery slope with the potential to release the best game of the decade but also the biggest fail on par with fallout76

I'm very close to 1000 hours in BL2. Loved every bit of it. I got and played every DLCs and brought Gaige to OP3. They were all very good, except maybe Sir Hammerlock's which was a bit grindy.

I own BL1 but never played it for whatever reason.

Like many said, BLTPS, which I own and played, was god awful ... Geez, the map totally confused with where to find quest items (kilometers up or down your head, in a place reachable by a *totally* different route), the forgivable guns, and my favourite: the double/triple life bosses ... And Springs ! Appalling.

That being said, I'm really hyped by BL3. I'm sure they will re-use the good recipes of BL2. And as another poster said: walking gun ? I'm in !

I guess I'm an anomaly, because I played the crap out of all three and loved them. Then again, my main draw is mayhem and dark humor, not coherent storylines and such. Torgue DLC is best DLC for that reason.

Anyway, hypetrain activated for BL3.

It is what it is.

I have 1000+ hours in Borderlands 2 and me and others still play multi every weekend; never gets old when your playing with the right folk. Only game I've had more fun playing multiplayer is Hawken (which I also still play on a "secret" discord server).

I enjoyed the single player aspects of Borderlands 2 but where it's really had shelf life is in it's high level multiplayer. Already talked to a friend this week about playing BL2 this weekend (tonight). LOL ...

Borderlands 3? As long as it's not piggy backing on the recent battle royale craze, which I really don't like ... and as well as your not locked into squads in muti ... I'll dig it. Just read that Anthony Burch is no longer writing for Gearbox so that will be noticeable for sure as he had quite the recognizable writing style in regards to dialogue. So looking forward to what they do with it ...

BTW: my steam name is s1rrah ... I'm on BL2 every Fri/Sat night with a couple friends for up to 2 to 4 hours per session. We play level 72 Overpower 8 with a few modded guns here and there but mostly vanilla ... hit me up on steam if anybody wants to hook up.

They said during the press conference its not a BR game or anything like that, April 3rd they are releasing more info about the game, they really did not get to much into it yesterday, so hopefully we will know more on the 3rd.
