I subscribed within the past two days ago when I upgraded to Ryzen...I've been playing Gears 4, Forza, Metro, Sea Of Thieves, Blair Witch, etc all for $5. Imo if you actually plan on playing a few games this is worth 100% the purchase. I work 70 hours a week in Manhattan and still have enough free time to make it worth the $5.

Gears 5 will be available Monday. It's all about what you want out of a service like this or if you're totally against something like this.
I personally believe it's a steal of a deal, and I also believe the service will only get better from here on out.

$5 is only for Beta. I goes to $10 after. $10 here $10 there and you end up paying all this money for services that you don't end up using that much. Sure if gaming is the only thing you do in your free time then one service is fine.

The service works for those that play a lot of games. The fact that the service is beta doesn't affect the games it provides. It's a beta version of what xbox offers. Those two fools who were ranting were either drunk, high schoolers, trolling, or just wanted some attention.

I thought the regular price was going to be $5? I feel the ultimate is kind of ridiculous. But companies always have to tier everything for more money these days. Either way though i didn't provide Epic games with a purchase of Metro LL because the pass exist. Metro LL and Gears 5 are games i've wanted to play. Gears 5 is downright awesome. Probably will have me keeping the pass for some time honestly.

If they could get borderlands 3 or control on there and away from Epic...that would be great.

I started with the .99 and recently got hit with the 4.99 charge. Just finished playing 3 hours of Metro Exodus 7680x1440 on medium with around 60-80 fps. Tomorrow I plan to do the same with Forza Horizon 4 with my nephews on the opposite coast. Halo Wars 2 will be my personal RTS at times when I'm not working. Noticing a few more that I haven't heard of, so I will probably look into them as well. Blair Witch looks fun, installing that as well. Just saw Kingdom Come Deliverance as well, I've been meaning to play that! I'm enjoying the service.

The BIG one's gonna be ALL of the Halos...

So the X-Box Pass fee started at $1, went up to $5 (while in beta testing to boot) and M$ already declared that regular MSRP will be $10 a month. Hum... as we know nothing stays at its introductory price (Netflix anyone) like any utility bill M$ will start squeezing hoping everyone will continue to pucker up. Yes they start you off with some titillating candy but "It's a trap" - Admiral Ackbar.

Like I said, pay $5 for a game down the road you really want to play and save on an extra utility bill. Like any kid, it sure is nice to walk into a candy store but how many stalls are you going to finish? Like in Up, "Squirrel" - Dug will be the modus operandi. Sure, you'll install many games but finish very few.

Yeah. I could buy all EA games in a year for $120 and still own them or pay for their subscription service to play Alpha games. Same goes for this. Unless you play 1 game a week and finish it of ~ 52 games year than all of these subs will end up underutilized.

I don't care if anyone in particular likes or dislikes this kind of service but the reasoning gunderman keeps trying to come up with to dislike it is so bad it hurts my brain. Clearly he just doesn't want to like it.

It's not as if any of these services make you sign a contract, you can cancel whenever you want.

And clearly when Halo comes out this is going to be a much more attractive deal in a lot of ways.

to be honest from the list aside wolfenstein II and metro exodus are the most appealing to me, aside there isnt much which seem interesting, maybe when they add Halo MCC it might be quite interesting, but I dont know if Halo series is worth it anymore, Halo1 was alright, Halo 2 was totally awful, but I havent played the other games on the series
