It's just Netflix for games. It's not complicated. Almost everyone likes Netflix and a lot of people are liking this for the same reasons.

It's not as if any of these services make you sign a contract, you can cancel whenever you want.

And clearly when Halo comes out this is going to be a much more attractive deal in a lot of ways.
Not a problem with the service. The problem is everything is becoming like this. A lot of people have Netflix and dont use it. Its like a Gym membership which is only worth if you use. With more and more of these sub-services means less and less time for each. If you only doing 1 month of this to play all the games and another month you do Ubisoft etc and etc then that value. If you keep them on for the entire year cause you forget then you just give them money.

I still don't understand how it's an issue if you utilize it for what it's worth. I have netflix and I watch what I like but I don't watch every single show it provides, does that mean I'm wasting my $15/mo? Digital services are going to be the norm whether people like it or not. I haven't purchased a physical copy of something in a long time. Less waste in my mind anyway. These arguments are pretty pointless and not the point of this thread. If you really don't like streaming services, then at least give a solid reason why. Why hate one for games, but use others for video? Isn't that a bit hypocritical? Are you really purchasing physical copies of everything you watch/play? If so, why? Blu-Ray maybe, but everything else? Have a gym membership and not using it? You're a dumbass and should cancel it. I work out at home, *** is going on? If you're that "over" corporations taking your money, then I hope you're living off the grid with a computer you literally create yourself with materials from the earth...

So far, it's "meh that game sucks, screw M$" from their windows machine, or "No one will really use it, they're wasting money for two games". Just seems like a lot of adversity over a service that a lot of people are already enjoying. Where is all of the negativity truly coming from? This is a lot of wasted breath over something you don't use, so why stir up crap with people that like something you don't?

Anyway, Blair Witch is kinda fun with the lights out, uses corsair lighting as well.

Yes they start you off with some titillating candy but "It's a trap" - Admiral Ackbar.

Like I said, pay $5 for a game down the road you really want to play and save on an extra utility bill. Like any kid, it sure is nice to walk into a candy store but how many stalls are you going to finish? Like in Up, "Squirrel" - Dug will be the modus operandi. Sure, you'll install many games but finish very few.
I’ll agree that price hikes are a concern, but if you’re really worried about it you can buy retail codes and horde as much time as you want at the current price. It’s kind of betting on the future, but I’ve played nearly all Microsoft first party games for the last 18 years so it wasn’t a hard decision for me (and sometimes you can find Game Pass codes at a discount).
And again, they’ve doubled in house production now, with many industry favorite studios, and Phil Spencer (who spent over 20 years in game development at Microsoft) now has more corporate power than any Xbox executive ever before.

In my mind this entire project hinges on Phil, as long as he’s the guiding force for Microsoft Games we’re in a very good place.
Once that lead position changes all bets are off.

hey bae, wanna game pass and chill?

i don't see anything that states its a lifetime subscription, just cancel when/if you're not really using it. done that w/netflix, hulu, prime and scribd (edit: ok, i'll admit the WWE network). hell, if i don't use prime for a year, get another free month.

personally the only thing i don't care for is having to have the latest W10 because i begrudgingly update only when i have to since to me there are more useless features than fixes. and i don't need to play a game because it's new or everyone's doing it. but i ain't going to judge the service based on just my preferences.

~$5/$10 a month is a no brainer for a lot of gamers. i'll wait a few months, still got a big enough back log.

Remember the golden rule of statistics: A personal sample size of one is a sufficient basis upon which to draw universal conclusions.
Upload the computer to Dropbox and provide a link to it so others may download it to examine and give advice for repairs.

Updating Windows was probably my biggest complaint with the game pass tbh.

Well, on that note, game pass will have The Outer Worlds, and already has Metro. At least two games we don't need the epic store for.

True that was my main reason for the game pass was Metro though honestly it feels like a port. Idk if that's the implementation of it on the xbox app or what but i feel like there is smoothing and input lag that i can't seem to eliminate.
