[PC GAMER] The Batman Arkham and Lego trilogies are free on the Epic Store this week

Quote:
The Epic Game Store giveaways have been especially good lately, but today they're just spoiling us. Six whole Batman games split across two trilogies, free to snag here for the next week and keep forever. The complete Batman Arkham series, full of bone-crunching violence and rainy neon streets, and the more comedic and family-friendly Lego Batman series.

I know, I know... It's the epic store and everyone hates it. Still free is free. This seems to be the most substantial free offer from the epic store so far... If the news wasn't a bit slow right now I probably wouldn't have posted this.

Yes. They pulled if from sales for a few months while they fixed it. Should work fine now.

They all been at $5 each so many times I feel that if you didn't pull the trigger on them at those prices this is no gift at all. Same with other free games.

Good for Epic fueling the Digital Diogenes Syndrome around the globe.

I just made an account and grabbed the games.
It’s hard to say if I’ll ever use it, but at least if I ever work my way through the Arkham series this is my only copy of Arkham Knight.

Does anyone know if these are the remasters (of the first two) or just the originals?

This is probably going to be my stance for a long time as well. I have claimed most of the free games they offered but I'll probably never play them and probably never buy anything on the epic store, at least not any time in the foreseeable future.

I'm super disappointed they never finished unreal tournament 4 and just left it in perpetual beta. I would buy that game on the epic store if they finished it and gave it similar quality to the other UT games day 1... but only if they removed wall running.

The Batman: Arkham Collection freebie includes:
  • Batman Arkham Asylum "remastered Game of the Year Edition"
  • Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition. Includes all DLC
  • Batman Arkham Knight (vanilla)

Apparently the Arkham City remaster never came out for PC: "Batman: Return to Arkham, developed by Virtuos, features remastered versions of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City using the Unreal Engine 4 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One." I'm not familiar with the Batman series, so I can't attest to the accuracy of that.

hey man, some day my kids will play the games I never played!

I loved all of the batmans, besides batman GTA.

The Arkham trilogy by Rocksteady are all excellent third-person brawler adventures. Yes, even the third game, Arkham Knight, which has a bit of a bad rap.
