[DSOG] NVIDIA has created a gaming studio to remaster classic PC games with Ray Tracing effects
“We’re cherry-picking some of the greatest titles from the past decades and bringing them into the ray tracing age. Thus, we’ll be giving them state-of-the-art visuals while keeping the gameplay that made them great. The NVIDIA Lightspeed Studios team is picking up the challenge starting with a title that you know and love but we can’t talk about here.”
Quake 3 Arena (or the open source version Open Arena) seems like a good candidate. It'll be 20 years old in December, it would be a nice way to commemorate. Now just drop the prices on the RTX cards, Nvidia. Nostalgia by itself won't make an x60 tier card for 500 € seem more palatable.
Crytek just straight up needs to remake Crysis 1, re-release it in a new engine with ray tracing enabled, modernize gameplay mechanics a little bit, maybe fix that ending lmao, and it'll make lots of money.
Anyways my vote goes to Bioshock or Dead Space.
