do you happen to mean Crysis 4? A yet to be released crysis?

I'd love to see Crysis warhead rebuilt into the modern engine, n launched as crysis 4

No, I really mean Crysis 3. I never installed Origin and I don't intend to. As to Crysis Warhead (and Crysis) being rebuilt on a modern engine, eh, ok, but I'd rather have something new. Also, considering the new trend where remasters are plastered with microtransactions where there were none in the originals and also the removal of content to sell you later, be careful what you wish for. Right now you can buy both Crysis and Crysis Warhead DRM free from GOG, whereas if they do a remaster they'll probably remove them so that they can control that you can only buy the new financially enhanced game.

i guess I haven't been keeping up, that sounds terrible.

It was a thought based on assuming a Crysis 4 probably won't ever release.

Oh, triple-A gaming is a lot of fun these days, here's an example:

COD fans hoping that the remaster of 2007’s acclaimed Modern Warfare will stay true to the design of the original may be disappointed to hear that supply drops, purchasable through microtransactions, are now active in the game with the December update.
Quote:
Update February 7, 2017: Though Activision previously said Modern Warfare Remastered’s microstransaction supply drop crates would only contain cosmetics, a range of new weapons have now been added.

There are three new guns in total, none of which existed in the original release, leading many to worry about the game’s balance being affected. One of the weapons is a full-auto shotgun.

i mean, FPS has been in the sharter since BF3.

it doesn't really surprise me though.

I'd be willing to bet FPS & MOBA folks share habits closer to mobile gamers, thus why they're always the prime target.

here i am, with a half dead GPU, punching away on my switch lite to keep myself from building a new system.

no new hardware until 2021!!!! (besides a cheep replacement GPU at the end of the year)

I haven't played an EA game in ages. Once Origin came along, my interest in their games tanked. I wonder if this is going to change my mind.

It is slow, ugly, DL servers suck (I can pull near my full 1Gbs from Steam as long as there are no big sales going, usually 100 Mbs on Origin), and I rally do not like the layout. And, my pettiest problem, no dark mode. I find dark mode easier on the eyes and easier to read. They may have added a dark mode at some point, but it has been a few years since I even installed Origin. These are my personal gripes. And mine alone.

I will gladly remove origin and reinstall BFV on steam.
It could be desperation - but let's be honest, not being on Steam isn't why BFV sales tanked. It was purely the politically correct nature of it, which alienated Battlefield fans. People voted with their wallets on that one. BF1 and BF4 did fairly well in sales and lots of people still play them.

I win.

I agree. I don't like the politically correct nature of BFV. However, I'm still playing BFV.

Firestorm mode in BFV should be F2P with a similar store as Apex Legends.
