Don't waste time on multiplayer or shops or any other crap or live services, make a fantastic single player campaign and make sure it has save anywhere or else I'm out like I was for Diablo 2 and 3.
Looked at the videos and they gave me a Diablo 1 vibe; demon this time being a female - the occult and the sacred feminine. The characteristics of the town outside the dungeons and not being cartoony like Diablo 3 were also reminiscent of Diablo 1. If it has save anywhere it will be time to venture into the dungeons again!
I remember installing it and the first time I died, had to run back to my dead body and most of what I killed had respawned - no thanks. I'm not a 5 year old with lots of time to waste and I'm certainly not a console peasant who is used to these mechanics either. I want to save my progress and should I die, pick up from my last save. I hate repeating large swaths of any game play.
I would not defend the saving mechanism in Diablo 2. Since Blizzard is now enamored with mobile, the save mechanic might even become more alien to PC gamers.
The gameplay looks like it is going to be targeting a mobile version as their main platform.
To nobody's surprise. "Do you guys not have phones?". At this point it's probably illegal to throw Blizzard and Bethesda in the same dumpster fire bin because of the high risk of turds shooting in all directions from the 100% guaranteed accumulation of manure methane.
