[Ubisoft] The Ghost Experience: New Immersive Mode Coming to Ghost Recon Breakpoint

Quote:
Right when you boot up the game, you can choose from two preset options or build your own combination:

Regular Experience: Play Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint the way it was released, with gear score and tiered loot.

Immersive Experience: A brand-new experience of the game that removes gear level and tiered loot entirely, and offers a bunch of new tactical options.

Custom Experience: Choose your own selection of settings to create the perfect fit.

I'm posting this because this has been an interesting story to watch develope. Breakpoint released as a direct sequel to wildlands but it changed the gameplay and turned it into a looter shooter. Most people hated it. Ubisoft basically did what many developers/publishers do these days and forced mechanics that can encourage micro transactions (cosmetic only IIRC) into a game in a way that ruined it, but Ubisoft is the one company that has a track record of successfully turning a bad situation into something good and this is looking like it will be no exception. I think we should call this phenomenon "The Ubisoft phenomenon".

It is a step in the right direction. The only way to fix Ghost Recon is for it to return to it's roots. First person, tactical shooter, not in 3rd person where everything is a bullet sponge.

They should do this to The Division 2, it might get me to play it again.

This game looks amazing tho. The best graphics ever IMO, better than Red Dead Redemption 2. But it's so resource heavy that grass and other details disappear like 50 meters away.

I played a lot of Wildlands. Ubisoft inflated the game size by reusing outposts and voice conversations. Story missions play the exact same at various points of the game, even the exact same dialog. Lazy dev's trying to fix a broken game. I'd rather buy a good game to begin with.

The new customisation options are nice for tailoring the way the you want to play and turning off gear levels is a good start. I have to say, as a fan of Wildlands, once I tinkered with the settings enough I really enjoyed my Breakpoint playthrough.

that's because ubisoft is bad @/undervalues optimization. you can see it throughout pretty much all of their major titles. specially if you're trying to maintain high frames.

wonder if I picked this up during the super sale. I know I got the other GunGrinder#2 from them.

Add me on Steam, same name

The Division 2? It was $3 a month ago. Never saw Breakpoint on sale tho.

Game is still too buggy for me, and the AI is a joke. It's a shame such a pretty game is so broken.
