Only die hard AMD fans think I'm a shill. Sorry if I don't find more cores every generation interesting. Or that their video cards game just as well as nVidia cards but with much less functionality.

I do find AMD's new 6w 4x4 interesting.

So I was all wowed, thinking we might get a boost to some of the older cards. Then I realized some aren't supported simply due to age on the newest drivers. So by default only all fairly recent cards are supported.

Correct, i'm assuming only non-legacy cards.

I will wait and see how it works before I come to a conclusion, but DLSS1.0 causes me to not have much faith in 2.0

Also, I am disappointed that DLSS2.0 won't work well for retro gamers.

I imagine this was probably on there big news agenda for GTC but with it gone to the wind they just flat out launched it anyways.

Im not totally sold on it but well see how next gen cards plus cyber punk does with this.

Wasn't this already out in the latest major games? Or how is this even better? Maybe those were a "preview" and now it's being made available to non gigantic developer studios too, while the gigantic studios had an early access.
This has been covered long ago now. Maybe DF will do a comparison in Control of the old shader version that it had vs this 2.0 that's been in newer games since.

As known before, it's not a driver wide easily applied solution, it depends on specific data from the game and has to be implemented by game developers. It's a long way before we see a true driver level apply anywhere anytime AI scaling or AI AA. With the multi frame processing they are faking stuff and hopefully it's not going to be as tragic as TAA is. So far it looked decent from what HU showed in games that already had this.

Am I going to see this implemented in games I play? 99.999% no.
