It doesn't have to be approved by you 1st in order for the rest of us to see that it's the best looking IQ wise. You have to consider how this game was developed to look this good without needing a 2080ti to do so. Not how much you will like playing it. After all, it's a simulator. Anyone who is into flight sims would not find this boring like you.

That's just your opinion. Last I checked, you weren't the only gamer on Earth.

I expect it'll turn out, like all previous MS FS, that you don't actually want to be below the "ideal" spec, and it doesn't run exceptionally well until a couple years after release, when hardware has moved on a couple generations. We'll have to wait and see.

It's not based on my opinion, I've got FSX, and some old FS on the shelf, some DCS, IL-2, various others stretching back 20 years along with an X52 with throttle, probably more time/experience than most. It's based on the general popularity of pure flight sims. I've been in various clans and groups for plenty long enough and not too many want to play a pure flight sim.

It's a small niche that not many enjoy dragged into the public gaze by nothing more than looks alone. The majority that buy it will put it into "arcade" mode, missing more than 80% of what the simulation offers, fly about looking at the nice weather, be bored very quickly and go back to their "normal" AAA games. And that'll be hailed as a huge success, to me they'll of wasted their money

yeah optimization, while maybe kept in mind, isn't really a thing until final passes right?

Add me on Steam, same name
R.I.P. Zawarudo, may you OC angels' wings in heaven.
If something appears too good to be true, it probably is.

I've been flight simming since version 1.0. I LOVE flight sims. I have every do-dad, gadget, headtracker there is to have. You're not wrong, flight sim is a bit niche, but it wasn't always that way. Sims were big in the late 80s / early 90s and I think simulations in general are coming back and in a big way. VR alone is really stirring interest for flight and driving sims. DCS with VR is out of this world! These ARE PC GAMES. I've been saying it for years. All those cross platform ports are not and have never been PC Games. Civilization is a PC game. Total War is a PC Game. DCS is a PC Game. Assassins Creed is not.

All I'm saying is that now that the next gen consoles are basically PCs and we're starting to see PC games start to hit consoles with Civilization and Flight Simulator, expect to see growing interest in the deeper, can't just sit down a play, need to learn and study, type games. For me, it's a much more rewarding and enjoyable type of "gaming." Landing an F-14 on a carrier in DCS, with VR is just a fantastic experience.
