Unfortunately Dice/EA position for BF is about the same as some casual player opinion about a tower defense game on the phone. What EA wanted was the frostbyte engine (for other games). Once they got that up and running BF was an after thought.
BFV was the most horrific game that came out of EA and EA has asked nay-sayers to hold their beer about other bad games for a long time now.
BFV was, is and shall be the worst game that came from Dice/EA ever in gaming history. They took a proven formula and throw it out the window for what "they wanted".
The community didn't ask for most of the over reaching changes that makes BF3 vs BFV two separate FPS games.
As for BF1, for me, was the best and only WW1 game I've ever played. Sure, a WW1 game wasn't everyone's cup of tea. But it was on the same footing as BF2 for me. Nothing comes close to BF2 then BF1 and at a distant second BF3.
The only real way Dice can redeem themselves is to find a way to allow more then 64 players and get back to their roots with BF2 like gaming experience.
