They actually have very little in common other than superficial genre labels.

Mafia II's story alone is worth a play through.

yeah I think I did mafia 2

you know what game is seriously a snooze fest though? LA Noir.. supposedly they made the decision system less broken, not sure i care to find out though.

I never even got close to finishing GTAV, yet I've spent hundreds/thousands of hours in total in all the others.

Add me on Steam, same name

Whilst I loved the first 2 and will in all likelihood get the remasters, I'd much rather they put the energy into making a new game, preferably set in between the first 2. It's a far more interesting period and the 'horse-carts with engines' cars are horrid to drive, but makes it much more challenging and interesting that something with fat tires that sticks to the road. Cool cars though, and cool guns, cool clothes, ..... anyone got a time machine?

I didn't like GTA5. Haven't like a GTA game since Vice City. San Andreas was where they started adding in stupid side activities, like going to the gym (f that), 4 was a complete bag of crap, cars felt like they had space hoppers for wheels, bounced like they had trampolines for suspension. 5 had too many gimmicks, hated the character swapping, vast expanses of nothing in the world and pointless being so large, playing almost felt like a chore.

Phsyx was used in Mafia 2. So I wonder if any consideration was given in improving the existing physics in the game with this reboot?

I hope physx isn't still a requirement.

i feel this way in many open world games these days.

Assassins Creed Odyssey is the crowning AAA achievement of quantity over quality. Odyssey's best game play is island hopping during the Atlantis stuff, & that's mostly end game/dlc. The rest is a disjointed uncanny valley that feels like an MMO with the plug pulled.

Mafia 2 remastered is available now if anyone cares. I got it for free, I'm guessing that's because I had the original with all DLCs.

I heard about that. They call it the Definitive Edition right?

But I don't think Mafia 1 is ready yet...
