[2k] Mafia: Trilogy

Not much is said from 2K about this remake. Until I saw it I didn't give it much thought. But now it appears this might be using RT? More details will be given on May 19, 2020.

Hopefully they add some better gameplay elements to the game and enhance the AI capabilities and driving feel.

Knowing 2K, it will probably just be like "look, we added a 4k option and packaged them all together! That will be $100"

Quite looking forward to this provided that it's actually had some effort put into the remaster (and they don't want crazy money for it)...

While Mafia 3 wasn't the greatest game ever, I did actually quite enjoy it. Although to be fair I didn't play it until it had had something like 15 patches and all the DLC... Mafia 2 always bugged out on me fairly early in the game, could never work out why. I don't remember ever playing the first one.

this is my comment for all the impending remakes that're about to rain down on us as developers and publishers scrape the vault for cost effective release candidates.

Loved the first one and the second one when they came out, the third one was a buggy mess that I preordered and then got a refund for. The third one seemed to have more in common with saints row and gta then mafia 2 and was a big disappointment to me, these games are about the story not open world randomness with buggy physics and AI. The open world side is supposed to be there to support immersion.

I liked Mafia 2, although I found the open-world aspect a little lacking. There was really nothing to do outside of the missions other than robbing gun shops, clothing stores, and diners. Hopefully they can add more things to do? What I am really hyped for is Mafia I. I could never play the original one because of clunky controls and old graphics (I'm shallow I'm sorry)

I played all 3, but I never finished the last one. I think it's a pretty decent title, gameplay wise. Even the whole open world collectoids are cool enough. However, what really made me lose interest was the fact that ALL missions are the same. At some point, I started feeling like a hamster on a wheel.

Another thing that frustrated me was the fact that it was impossible to get to some areas before the story unlocked them. I like to do that, even if it means breaking some physics or fighting the game's best AI it can throw at me. It's the whole reason I never played Rage more than 5 minutes.

Who cares, it's a GTA in an older time with gangsters. Play once and forget kind of game. Played first and didn't bother with the sequels.
